Leaven is an open and growing community that founded on June 9th, 2013 as a member-based non-profit community that includes a congregation named Salt & Light Lutheran Church. We come out of a rich tradition of spirituality merged with community organizing for justice and the common good. A definition of leaven is “an element that produces an altering or transforming influence.” We are creating this community as we go, and all are welcome to create it with us. We are all leaven for one another, and you are welcome to any event.
